People experience views and reaction to sin of shape to their life and the morals is different. Hester suffer her sin in the public where she have to wear the scarlet letter. She then give birth to her daughter pearl is a symbol of the letter. Although she suffer in public where everyone in the town treat her as an enemy. She refuses to tell who Pearl's father is. To Hester, Dimmesdale is a high honorable man. she doesn't mind if she ruin her own reputation.
