General Purpose: To Inform
Specific Purpose: By the conclusion of my speech my audience will know what date rape is, the drugs that are commonly used in date, and what do if you become a victim of date rape.
Introduction
Attention Getter: According to USciences.edu approximately one in four college aged women is date raped or experiences an attempted date rape during her college years. They also stated that one out of every ten men gets sexually abused in college? Many of us will be preparing to go to college in just a short time so it is important to understand what date rape really is.
Statement of Credibility and Audience Relation: Knowing more about date rape is important to me because it can happen to any one of us at any time and that's a scary thought. It is important that we know what date rape is, what the drugs are, and what to do if you become a victim.
