Schools should teach intelligent design

The origin of life, its an unknown that has been discussed, researched, and pondered for an unknown length of time. But in recent centuries with new ideas and technology we have been able to discover and unveil some vital information that could lead to answering the question of where did we come from. But the question has yet to be answered, so any theory or idea must be taken into consideration, including the theory of Intelligent Design. First, we have to understand that Intelligent Design should be categorized as science and is a legitimate theory. Second, it is a theory worth learning. And thirdly, by not teaching ID we are harming the educational system. For these reasons we stand in affirmation of the resolution that in the United States, public high school science curriculum should include the study of the Theory of Intelligent Design.

First we must look at a few definitions:

Intelligent Design, According to the Intelligent Design Network, is a belief that asserts that naturalistic explanations of some biological entities are not possible and such entities can only be explained by intelligent causes.

Science, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica, is defined as any system of knowledge that is concerned with the physical world and its phenomena and that entails unbiased observations and systematic experimentation.

Our first point, the theory of intelligent design is categorized as science and is a legitimate theory. Looking at how these words have been defined you must rule Intelligent design as science.
