Ancient Egypt was a great civilisation for its time. There are several reasons for this. Some reasons are that they developed a form of writing, had education and religion, knew how to make paper, and knew how to farm.

Considering that the ancient Egyptians existed around 4000 years ago, they were a very civilised race. They developed a complex form a writing: hieroglyphics to record their history. This shows that the ancient Egyptians were able to think that people in the future would read read it.

Writing leads to another important point: education. The Egyptians realised that education is very important in life.

There is another thing that shows that the ancient Egyptians were civilised. They had a religion. They thought about everything and were able to come to the conclusion that there are gods and an afterlife. This taught the ancient Egyptians to please their gods by behaving nicely and not committing crimes.

The Egyptians were able to record their writing on surfaces other than walls. They developed an early form of paper. Papyrus. They found out that by stamping the stalks of papyrus plant, they were able to create a reliable writing material.

The Egyptian also knew the technique of farming. They found that plants grew from seeds, and knew how to irrigate land.

In conclusion, the ancient Egyptians were a very civilised race. They developed a form of writing, had education and religion, knew how to make paper, and knew how to farm. These are only a few reasons for why the ancient Egyptians were a very civilised race.
