In the unit three individual project, the assignment called to perform a t-test to compare the means of two groups of data. The two sets of data that were chosen are the intrinsic and extrinsic. The intrinsic being the feeling of job satisfaction with the individuals job and extrinsic that of overall satisfaction with the company. The hypothesis contained in the unit three project stated that employees are more satisfied with the job that they perform and are less satisfied with the company that they work for because of certain job policies. The alternate hypothesis is that company policies have no effect on if an employee is satisfied with their job.

By taking the sum of both columns and finding the means of the intrinsic and extrinsic followed by finding the difference. Then the next step is calculating the variance of each group and dividing it by the number of people surveyed, followed by squaring each amount.

When each row is squared, the sum must be divided by the number of people in the survey minus one. This will give the standard error of the difference between the means. Then by finding the degrees of freedom, the t can be calculated. The final answer is the t is +2.66 giving the result that 0.9961 that employee’s are satisfied with their job, but not with the company, they work for. This gives the answer that the hypothesis is true, because there is over a 99% chance that employees are satisfied (T-Test). While conducting the chi- test, the null stated that over half of the employees surveyed were female. The alternate null is that there are more males that were surveyed. Then by stating the expected amount of surveyed and the amount that were survey one can figure the...
