A Study into Fundamental Marketing Concepts

Nowadays, Marketing is to be more and more important position in the organization, even in the world economics. The powerful and successful of organization may deeply affected by marketing. Some argument would be formed along with the marketing development is inevitable, but the simple definition, according to (Kotler P2002:5) marketing can be defined as a social and managerial process by which individuals or a group which obtain what they need and want through creating and exchanging products and values with others. The purpose of the marketing is to attract new or more customer by providing superior value or delivering satisfaction.

My first part of article is to identify the major pillar supporting the marketing concept.

According to leading management theorist Peter Drucker, marketing will always, one can assume, be need for some selling, the aim of marketing is to make selling surplus. His theories are that the aim of marketing should to get to know and understand what the product or service can fit to the customer.

Thus, marketing can be identified for the customer who is ready to buy, then is to make the product or service available. Marketing concept mean marketing should not just only about selling, but also not a specialized activity. It should surround the whole business. Therefore, Marketing's responsibility and concern should pervade and popular in all area of the organization.

There are three major pillar to support the marketing concept are Customer orientation, integrated marketing and customer satisfaction.

Customer OrientationsCustomer orientations are about customer needs and wants.
