Success

It has been said that success is the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or achievements. Also that success is in the eye of the beholder. But John Wooden described success the best when he said, "Success: Peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming." Another man who has also described success perfectly is Booker T. Washington "Success is not measured by the heights one attains, but by the obstacles one overcomes in its attainment." Both these men have picture perfect views on success.

There are billions upon billions of successful people in the world. They vary in many different shapes and sizes. Some will accomplish things that should be awarded the Nobel Prize while others will overcome debt and poverty and live life. They are both successful people. Success is not only accomplishing tasks it is overcoming obstacles.

Heroes are known for success in battle or in life. But not all heroes are Super Heroes with super powers; most of them are everyday normal people who perform extraordinary acts. A hero is someone you look up to and admire. Heroes also have to overcome obstacles everyday just to stay alive and be healthy.

Success comes in many different ways as you grow older. While you are young you will be described successful for making all A's. Yet as you grow older there become more calls for success, as in sports, a job, or in marriage. How you react to everything will determine if you are successful in life or not.
