Introduction- is sushi equal to raw fish?

-No. row fish is called sashimi in japan and it is not same as sushi.

Sushi is a combination of rice and fish

-sushi is considered an art form. It is elegantly arranged to enhance its simplicity and nutural beauty. The method of preparation, shape and taste differ some what depending on the locality

-sushi is very attractive because it has a lot of nutritions, very tasteful,and also prepared quickly like fast food.

History

-sushi is a typical Japanese food with over a thousand years. the origin of sushi is not japan. As early as 500 B.C, the mountain people in Thailand, laos. Used river fish and rice in pickling and fermenting processes that preserved the fish. It is said that sushi was introduced into japan in 7th cenrury from china or south east asia. Peolple began making sushi preserve fish by fermentation when there were no refrigerators.

Since salt and rice were needed in order to ferment fish. Then one of the chef in Tokyo came up with idea to adding vineagar to rice to gave it fermented flavor. Then, it developed into crrrent sushi which combine fish and rice.

health benefit

-sushi is low in fat and is a very nutritious food. A typical setting of 6 pieces contains about 200- 350 calories. The fish in sushi provides protein and can be a good source of omega 3 fatty acids which is essential for building and maintain cells. vegetables are a great source of vitamins. Seaweed is rich in iodine. And rich provides complex carbohydrates. the ingredients of sushi are always the freshest possible and low in fat. The Japanese have one of the lowest levels of heart disease in the world.
