A piercing is exciting to get. Tattoos aren't bad either. They may hurt when they are first done, but it doesn't last that long. There are some people out there that stick to one or the other. But for most people once you get one, you have to get the other.

Your first piercing is a scary experience. As you are sitting there waiting for them to begin, one of the first things they do is show you a nice, unopened, thick needle about 3 inches long. They open it and plunge it through whatever body part you may be piercing. The pain is excruciating, but only for about 2 seconds. Then the jewelry is inserted, and you leave feeling satisfied.

A tattoo is also a scary experience. You give whoever is doing your tattoo a picture of what you want, and they trace it wherever you want it on your body.

They will also show you a nice, unopened, thick needle. When they outline your picture, it feels like something really sharp and hot going tearing through your skin. It hurts until they are finished. If you are lucky you will feel numb to the pain after about 2 minutes. When they are done, you should have some pain, but also be satisfied.

One good thing about a piercing is when you get tired of it you can always just take it out. Of course you have to anywhere from 6 to 8 months depending on what you get pierced to leave it out for a long period of time. But after that period you can take it out anytime you want and leave it out for as long as you want.
