Team CommunicationFor a team to accomplish a goal or objective effectively, each member must coordinate their efforts through communication. This factor has always been an important ingredient in succeeding as a team. Regardless of the time and place, the dynamic of communication amongst a team will achieve that common objective each member is reaching for. Communication can mean the face-to-face meetings, via-telephone, via-email, or anything used to provide one another with the status of task information. Those team members who effectively communicate amongst one another are most likely to succeed.

Communication is a skill to be learned and improved through the practices of team development. For one to succeed as a team, the team will coordinate and develop through several known stages known as forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning. These stages range from the initial step of getting to know each other as a team, to sacrificing personal desires, increasing unity, developing social relationships, and completing the objective, all with the feature of communicating.

Each member's commitment to succeed is accomplished using a skill of socialization which involves communicating in different forms. Once a member is anticipated to join and find all expectations, they may follow to be more accommodating where their communication skills will build interpersonal relationships. By doing so, it becomes easier for the member of the team to follow with the acceptance stage of socialization in which their individual roles have contributed successfully to the team through a form of communication.

Team communication is a great dynamic which follows with many benefits. Both, the member as an individual and the group as a team, will benefit from communicating.
