Introduction

Colonizing the Galaxy:

For right or for wrong

Many People have had problems with the idea of the colonization of the galaxy, but with all their efforts we are still increasing funding for NASA and other such organizations. The fact is that we will reach for the stars. Humanity needs to have a wild frontier to venture into. For now, that frontier will be space.

Many people have proposed ideas about how we should pull ourselves out of this gravity well and spread throughout the galaxy.

There are many steps to colonizing space. Many must begin before we even leave our own planet. I plan to build a model of a possible design for a Lunar based station using clay and a pre-manufactured plastic shell.

Do We Truly Need to Colonize the stars?

By the year 2000 there will be 6 billion people on this planet of ours and the sheer fact is that if we wish to live a life such as we are now drastic measures will have to be taken Our need for natural resources grow even faster than our population. With per capita consumption levels increasing at an astounding rate in many third world countries our supply simply cannot be maintained by our already over-stressed planet.
