Traditions

My favorite time of the year starts towards the end of October and ends in the middle of January. These couple months, my family has so many traditions that I cherish and look forward to every year. First is the huge Thanksgiving dinner that we have every year, always the Sunday before Thanksgiving day. We all cook together and have a huge feast with rolls, a huge turkey, stuffing, homemade applesauce, cranberry mold, and squash, mashed potatoes, and of course, pie!! Then we set the table with name tags and everything, and then we get all the food and pile it onto the table in the dining room. We all sit down at our specially assigned seats, join hands and say grace before we eat. Then we all help serve each other as we pass the bowls and plates around the table, taking what we want. After we finish eating, we're all stuffed.

We head into the family room, where the Christmas tree is already up and shining on all of us. All we do is talk and watch "Elf", we do this quite a lot. We all say our sad good yes with tons of hugs and kisses. On Thanksgiving day all I do is lay in bed in my pajamas and watch Christmas movies with my mom and my grandma. My mom always lets me pick out all of my favorite movies to watch, I always pick the same movies because it's our tradition to watch Christmas movies on Thanksgiving. I always pick; Elf, Eloise at Christmas Time, the Polar Express, The Santa Clause 1, 2, and 3, Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Carol, Unaccompanied Minors, Home Alone, Frosty the Snowman, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Christmas Story, and of course,
