It was early June, and the boy had just moved away from home for the first time. His name was Nick, and he was living about 2,000 miles away from anything he knew. He worked in a warehouse, driving forklifts, and assembly type work for very little pay, and was in general your typical blue collar worker. Nick had slowly begun making friends, mostly people he worked with, and he was actually dating a girl named Melissa that is if you consider three dates "dating."

One morning Nick was going about his usual routine when something darted across the room out of the corner of his eye. At first he wasn't too sure he saw anything at all, and Melissa wasn't there so he had nobody to confirm that it wasn't his imagination. Nick went to work, and all he could think about all day was what he saw that morning in his apartment.

This wasn't the first time that abnormal things had made an appearance, but it was the first time in his own apartment. After work he called Melissa and asked her if she had plans for dinner.

" No, actually I was just wondering if you would call or not," Melissa said.

They agreed to meet around six at the local pizzeria. When Nick got there melissa was

already waiting for him at a table. They ordered their drinks, Nick had a Bud Light and Melissa ordered an ice tea with lemon. While they waited for their pizza Nick filled her in about what he had seen that morning.

"Do you believe in ghosts?" Nick asked her. "Well I've never had any encounters, but that doesn't mean they don't exist," Melissa replied. " I just can't shake this weird feeling, like I know that's what...
