Masks are worn every single day of our lives. Some masks are worn with costumes and some ?masks? are worn to cover up how our real personality is. Sometimes we can wear them for holidays such as Halloween but usually we wear them to hide our true feelings from one another. We all tend to act different in any situation and environment were placed in. we act a lot different at school then we act at home. We also act a lot different with our friends then our grandparents, etc. It?s a natural thing that everyone tends to do. Masks are also worn in stories and play?s which sometimes depict real life. In the play Othello, written by William Shakespear, a lot of the characters seem to be wearing ?masks? throughout the play.

Art sometimes imitates life. We all seem to hide our true selves sometimes. Teenagers tend to have a lot of drama in high school because teenagers sometimes feel they have to act a certain way or dress a certain way to fit in.

Sometimes holding in your true personality and feelings causes your life a lot more problems then you would of had if you had just not acted the way other people want you to act. Masks have a lot of disadvantages.

In the play Othello, a lot of the characters wear masks. Iago is one of those characters. He?s so jealous of Cassio?s success that he wants to ruin the lives of Othello, Desdemona, Cassio and anyone who gets in his way of his plot against all of them. His mask is shown by how he acts friendly to everyone when deep down inside he has nothing but hate for everyone. He lies a lot to get what he wants done. He...
