"28 percent of U.S students in grades 6 through 12 reportedly have experienced bullying or feeling bullied. Experts agree that most incidences of bullying occur during middle school".(NoBullying.com) with the percent of bullying rising each year, students need to understand the effect they are causing due to bullying. The weekly Reader's 2013 article entitled "Cyberbullying Identification, Prevention, and Response" and William Golding author of " Lord of the Flies" published in 1954 both refutes the claim that, very differently, that bullying can escalate to dangerous, even life threading levels.

Bullies act insensitive because they hide behind mask, disguises, and personas. Although, both article and the book both involve bullying, the situation in which occurs is not the same. Hinduja observes the problem of anonymous identities. She states, "The cyberbully can cloak his or her identity behind screen names". Hinduja states an important fact to observe, that bullies can strike from different devices and personas that leave the victim unaware of the "Avenger".

On the other hand, in Lord of the Flies, Golding also observes the problem of anonymous identities. He junctures, "Jack planned his new face…. made one cheek eye socket white… rubbed red over the other half of his face". Golding predicaments array a conspicuous fact , that portrays a young man changing his identity to strike as an "Avenger". Golding portrays this image of Jack to show that the kids must be aware of this persona as like the children and or students who must be aware of the bully because it can lead to a lost of life. Hinduja and Golding accede that the "Avenger" can impel with a different ipseities and personas either with anonymous email addresses or painting there faces to symbolize a new persona.
