Intention:
My intention with this story is write a story in script format giving me a challenge and that if it was to be made into a play or movie it would not require time to convert it. The story is about a guy 'David who is in love with a girl 'Rebecca' who in return does not love David, at first. She quickly has a change in her heart and decides to love him back; the story has romance as it follows them around their dinners, picnics and love... However, appearances can be deceiving, as David starts to hallucinate terrible things about death, and the only thing that can put his mind to ease will be a visit from the Boy Scout
FADE IN:
INT. Rebecca's house - NIGHT
Dining room from an upper class house with a table to sit 10, filled with a buffet and wine bottles.

Rebecca and David, eating, drinking, and sitting opposite each other occasionally glancing at each other.
DAVID
Rebecca I've been meaning to say this for a while now and I just can't bear it anymore, I love you, I have loved you since my eyes first glazed over your body and my ears hearing the sweetness of your voice.
To Rebecca which is looking tense and real nervous
REBECCA
David, are joking cause this is mean... no David I do not love you but I see you as a good friend, a very good...
David's face growing redder and redder with Angier.
DAVID
NO ARE YOU JOKING I LOVE YOU MORE THAN A FRIEND AND IF YOU CANNOT SEE THAT THEN (more loudly) GET... OUT... OF... MY... HOUSE...
REBECCA (V.O.)
David please calm down and this is my house David remember I invited you over...
David stands up grabs a wine bottle.
DAVID (muttering)
Only in death will you see you true love... you Dail Grind
David throws the bottle, it smash against the chair cutting Rebecca's neck
REBECCA (Moving hand too stop bleeding)
Oh-hhh!!!
David gets up and starts to head towards the door
DAVID (sorrow in voice)
Sorry Rebecca I do not what happened over me
David slams the door and Rebecca screams...
REBECCA
It's okay David it is just a scratch

INT. REBECCA'S HOUSE/FRONT DOOR - MORNING
David standing out side muttering holding a small rectangular box
Rings doorbell
DAVID (muttering still)
Rebecca I'm sorry... NO Rebecca this is a sign of peace MAYBE...
Dorr opens Rebecca stands tall and with a bandage around her neck
REBECCA
Yes David what is it?
David stutters.
DAVID
I got, got this for you
David opens the box and hands it to Rebecca, we see it is a diamond necklace...
REBECCA
Oh, David it's beautiful but this would have cost a nugget
David last night I thought you were joking so I did want to be caught in a trap, I was being over precautious but David I do love you more than a friend... I'm sorry that my screwed...
They each simultaneously bend with a little hesitation kiss a deep loving kiss
INT. BEDROOM - NOON - WARPPED, BLURRED SHOTS
David and Rebecca getting passionate in bed and start to make love
DAVID & REBECCA (V.O.)
Each of them has a mixture of oh and yeah as they make love
INT. "BEDROOM" - NIGHT
Both David and Rebecca are sleeping and camera is on David's eye as it opens
David jumps up as he has been freaked out bad
Camera zooms out to see Rebecca is a dead rotting corpse
David starts to run

DAVID
What the hell is happening, she can't be dead... how, what?... arghh!
David trips and falls down the stairs knocks his head at the bottom eyes slowly close
FADE OUT:
INT. "BOTTOM OF STAIRS" - MORNING
Rebecca standing above David as he wakes up.
DAVID
Arghhh get away from me arghhh
REBECCA
David it's just a bad dream
David looking confused.
DAVID
But how did I get down here???
REBECCA
You must have slept walked and fell down the stairs
David stands up
DAVID
It felt so real thou, I thought you were a zombie or something.
REBECCA
Ha ha David I can't be dead I'm standing here aren't I?
DAVID
I suppose so... hmm did you want to go out today?
REBECCA
Better yet let's go up to your hut in the mountains
DAVID
That's a good idea I'll go pack clothes and you can get the food
REBECCA
Sure!
David heads up stairs, while Rebecca goes towards the kitchen.
INT. OPEN ROAD - EVENING/DUSK
We see them on the road in a car driving along.
REBECCA
How long do you think it shall take
David turns to Rebecca and sees her as a corpse slumped against the seat.
DAVID
WHAT THE ...
As he blinks he sees her normal again and gazes down to the fuel gage and realises its board line empty
REBECCA (confused)
Huh? David, what is it?
DAVID
Oh nothing... were about 2 ý hours away, and were out of fuel so I'll have to pull over at the next fuel station
They drive into the distance and you see a fuel station AMPOL and they decide to pull in
INT. FUEL STATION - BOARDER DUSK/NIGHT
David gets out of the car, and Rebecca is asleep inside it. David starts filling up the car as an old guy comes out of the store.
FUEL GUY
Beautiful night tonight isn't it
DAVID
Yeah it is me and me wife are going up to my hut in Mt. Ednah for a while so if the nights are this warm we could sleep outside instead of inside
The FUEL GUY rambles on about the night and then looks into the car and stops halfway through his speech then quickly returns to rambling
FUEL GUY
Yeah sure is a beauty... it has been a while since I've paid much attention to the stars and I haven't seen orions belt in a while too and my star sign...
DAVID
Umm yeah, go on what is your star sign...
FUEL GUY
Uh huh oh yeah Leo, Leo is uh me star sign yeah umm... well...
DAVID
Yeah okay then here's the 30 dollars for the fuel
FUEL GUY
Thanks umm yeah have a good time okay
David drives off... the FUEL GUY goes inside and starts to scribble down EMI-650 as darkness begins to blacken the screen...
INT. CABIN - OUTSIDE - NIGHT
David and Rebecca get out of the car and head towards the cabin which is an log cabin with tall grass growing around it with signs of not been used for a while.
INT. CABIN - INSIDE - NIGHT
David lights the gas lamps inside, and as the light the room you can see it is a one room cabin with all the sections of a house just no dividers; kitchen dining room, bedroom and washroom
Rebecca heads towards the kitchen to start preparing for dinner.
REBECCA
What do you feel like for tea tonight David?
DAVID
I don't know just cook something simple and fast for tea because I want to go to bed tonight to get an early start tomorrow
REBECCA
Okay how about I'll just make sandwiches for tonight I'll cook something real fine tomorrow
As they sit around the dining table they eat there sandwiches in silence.
DAVID
Maybe we could do some bush walking tomorrow and find a spot to have a picnic
REBECCA
Oh, David that is a great idea, just lovely
INT. /EXT. GREEN FIELD/CABIN - DAY/NIGHT
Has Flash of various Scenes
Rebecca and David are sitting on a chequered mat having a picnic
REBECCA
This is heaven, I could not ask for much more
At Cabin, we see them having a candle lit dinner with a romantic atmosphere
Mid moment, flash of Rebecca's face dead and rotting
Flash to them running in field playing TAG, then to lying down on grass rolling around, laughing few slow motion shots, showing the good time their having.

Back to The cabin and there we see talking and laughing and a short section on lovemaking and then we get to the scene we're they are dancing around the cabin
DAVID
This is the prefect life, Rebecca I want you to know how much I love you! With all my sol and heart you are why I'm here living, without you I would be nothing a rotting piece of dirt on a hot summer's day
REBECCA (Crying)
This is *sniff* the best moment of my life... you David I wouldn't be here ether if it wasn't for you
This is a slow motion shot of Rebecca falling to the ground but not hitting it being caught by tied ropes on her hands and torso, but as she falls their is a slow degeneration of her body from going to alive to being a 3 month rotting corpse
*BANG* *BANG* at the door
SRG COOPER
David Hassle this is the County police and we have you sounded so please drop to the floor and have your hands on your head
David complies while Rebecca is still suspended in mid air by ropes and he is speaking to her
DAVID
Don't worry honey it'll be okay... *silence* I don't know why there here they must have the wrong hut or something *silence* I don't recall hearing my name are you sure? *silence* well you must do what they say okay?
The door gets kicked open and SRG COOPER makes the arrest while the other police force bag Rebecca into a morgue bag
DAVID (Yelling)
WHY ARE YOU PUTTING MY WIFE IN A BAG SHE CAN'T BREATH STOP IT, STOP IT, STOP IT NOW!!!
INT. JAIL - DAY
We see David sitting in a chair by him self in an empty cell by with no windows but a long mirror camera go through and we see SRG COOPER sitting reading the results of a psychological test and we read...
SRG COOPER (V.O)
While all this is being read out in SRG COOPERS mind we have a series of flash back moments to were we see a previous shot of them sitting to dinner with Rebecca alive we now see that she was in fact dead, same with the picnics and the car trip

Results:
The patient was found to have killed the women in a fit of rage with a wine bottle and cutting her neck, he then deluded his mind into believing they were lovers to married. In his mind, he went on picnics with the victim and dinners and all that other romantic jazz including the act of necrophilia. The prosecutor was found out by a fuel attendant who saw the dead rotting corpse of the victim in the back seat of a car and immediately rang as up after he left
