I have been admiring Sir Winston Spencer Churchill for a long time. He is regarded considered one of the greatest men in Britain history. I admire him not only because he led Britain to its World war II victory, but also his power to influence the thoughts of his people.

Sir Winston Spencer Churchill was born in Blenheim Palace, Britain. His family was one of the most distinguished families in Great Britain. He had a very unique character, he only studied subjects which he liked and did very bad for the other subjects.

He was also a troublemaker and his conduct was bad too. He had great interest in military affairs, so he entered Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst and joined Her Majesty's Fourth Hussars in 1895. From 1900 onwards, he left the army and started his political Career. In 1914, World War I started, at that time, wars were fought mainly in trenches and ditches, but Churchill came out with the idea of using tanks, because they could pass the those trenches easily.

Later after the end of the war, he was appointed the Minister of War and Air. In the early 30s, he warned the government about the threat of Germany but no one took his advice.

World War II started in 1939 when Hitler invaded Poland. The Germans took over many countries by the time of 1940 and Churchill became the prime minister of Great Britain. He made a famous speech which united the whole England, " I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat"¦"¦" Although the Axis-powers (Germany, Italy and Japan) had the upper hand at that time, this speech really inspired a lot of confidences in the Britons.
