NEC and Wipro - Areas of future engagements

Wipro Technologies and NEC have been working together for almost four years, during which the relationship between the two companies has grown from strength to strength. Wipro works on NEC's software products in the enterprise system management and security management area, and more than 80% of Wipro's consultants who work for NEC, do development projects in the e-enabling space.

Presently more than 100 Wipro software consultants are providing NEC the best-in-breed software solutions through ShoreGain, Wipro's proven offshore-onsite delivery model. Wipro had established a dedicated ODC (offshore Development Centre) for NEC in 1999.

NEC Solutions and Wipro have been working for the last 3.5

years in coming out with the components and product suites for NEC's mission critical platform based solution.

Wipro Technologies commenced their Japan operations in 1995, and today almost 8 per cent of Wipro Technologies' revenues come from Japan, covering both enterprise applications as well as technology services. The projects undertaken by Wipro in Japan cover areas including internet technologies, e-commerce, mobile commerce, embedded systems, ASIC design and telecom applications.
