Yes, King used many literary devices in his speech. King used "Rhyme" - can you give us some examples of rhyme?Also, you might want to discuss other "Symbolism" found in King's speech - the "Red Hills" of Georgia. What do they symbolise?You could have provided more concrete examples of his use of both "Metaphor" and "Similie."Also, provide and example of "Repetition."Any quotes from King's speech could be used more strategically.This paper could benefit from more analysis.

Yes, Holden is still very traumatized by the death of his little brother. I think he also wants to be closer with Jane but can't bring himself to do so.What about the incident with his teacher at his teachers' apartment - what significance does this event in the story have and what do you think of Hodlen's interpretation of it?

Your essay is good. You could have commented a little more on the setting in your paper. I also agree with the three main themes that this story deals with. Overall, I think this essay is a nice little summary of what Old Man and the Sea is about.Sunpower
