I enjoyed this essay and thought it was well written. I think it could have been better, though, if you used more examples from other stories he wrote and talked a little bit more about his personal life and how it all connects to a fear of death.

I think you made a point, and made it clearly. However, I really think you need to work on getting the reader interested with a better intro. Peer pressure is a big issue in smoking and probably should have been stressed more, but overall it was a good essay.

Not a bad Essay. Clear and to the point, though the start of your paragraphs were a bit annoying. But it gave the straight facts in an eloquent manner. Nice job.
