This essay is more of a summary of the novel "Huck Finn". This essay does hovever, contain much detail, and recalls many events from the story. It does not prove the author's thesis "why I think Twain is the greatest writer of his time." Possibly proof read (maybe twice.)

  • A Little Criticism

One of the rules about writing an expository essay is that no one cares what you (the author) thinks. What I'm saying is that you shoud not wrtie "I think" because you are simply stating your opinion, which no one really cares about. I do agree with the last comment, there could be some more information, however, this essay was pretty succint. The author presented his/her ideas in a clear style, and no confusion was present. Not Bad!

  • Extra Information

This essay contains a lot of information, however possibly too much detail. If you are looking for general information on Pearl Harbor, ignore the 2nd half of the essay. The essay says that the Japanese wanted to send in two waves of bombers, it was actually three waves. This was because the US aircraft carriers were luckily out on routine patrol near the Philipines, due to the assumption that the Japanese would attack there. Also, the attack on Pearl Harbor is not considered to be a battle, more like an incident because the Japanese had not declared war on the US. This was a mistake by the Japanese government and the Ambassador, due to the time difference between the US and Japan, the Japanese ambassador recieved the declaration too late. General Wamamoto gives his thought about the attack "I fear that all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant."
