Great essay
Speaking as a student and admirer of Gothic literature, I really enjoyed reading this essay. The analysis of the sublime and its theorists was clear, concise and thorough. The structure and chronology of the essay made it an easy and pleasant read.- 17/01/2005

Evolution of literature
Usually it is difficult to emit a fundamental analysis of English literature periods; however this essay outlines the issues and authors of the times, whilst also giving brief insights into the history of the periods stated. Well done! However don't forget that Chaucer (a medieval writer) was a major contribution to English literature before the Renaissance.- 17/01/2005
