  • A decent primer

Into the history of Communist China. I'm not sure it's something that would be required for a master's level course, though.

  • There's a Reason

A decent essay. However, there's a good reason for age discrimination: Less experience and unpredictability. Often youth aren't "Battle Tested" very much, although it seems that you may have been.Well written, though.

  • More than I Ever Wanted to Know

More than I ever wanted to know about the Ring of Fire. Detailed and clearly written.

  • It's Alright

Errors in logic abound, and the author keeps calling Japan a "Small Asian Country", when in fact they were a rising major power. It does, however, demonstrate a solid (if not complete) understanding of the events that took place.

  • Pointless

This essay has no explicit point. It gives me no reason why I should read it. Furthermore, it makes exaggerated claims without citation. This is an example of how NOT to write a college essay.

  • Thanks for nothing

"Both community colleges and four-year institutions provide an enriching educational learning experience for their students." is the cowardly point of this whole thing. Not only does the author refuse to stick his neck out and declare one better or worse than the other; he (I am assuming Hinid is a man) artfully dodges any question of equality.Furthermore, the costs of both education types are vastly underestimated, so much so that I suspect the author doesn't live in the US. My local community college charges about $400 per course per semester, and state schools charge far more than $2000/quarter or $8000/year. UMass Amherst (a 4-year school) is about $20,000/year without financial aid.

  • Words hacked, not minced.

Many, many times I am thinking: "I know what you mean, but that's not what you are saying." I do not have enough room to extrapolate on the many cases right now, but I would receive a C if I submitted this as a Sophomore in High School, much less College.I'm guessing that this was a close reading exercise; it should be known that "clandestine meanings" created by context and metaphor are no secret in any literary work. The paper seeks to contest an issue that is in no contention and that should be very obvious.

  • Junior-High Quality

"The Past History of Our Country". Wow. As opposed to the future history of our country? Or history that exists in the past, but no longer is remembered? Also, leaves out his stint in the House of Representatives and his opposition to the Mexican-American War. Not up to 10th Grade standards.

  • So What?

The essay uses big words well, but fails to live up to even its title or bring up anything new.

  • Sloppy; Fails to Address Countering Arguments

The structure and grammar is extremely sloppy. It also is little more than a laundry list of grievances, and does not say anything new or interesting about the problem. Leve should be specified so we know what to expect.
