This essay provides an excellent overall explanation on many marketing aspects. I love the comparison between McDonald's and Starbucks. It does seem that McDonald's is trying to stay competive with offering WIFI and "gourmet coffee".

Interesting you have problems about a Bible reference about spanking but yet, you have an essay about discipline in schools. Don't you think discipline should be taught at HOME first???

I think this is a great essay. I always thought spanking should be used as a last resort, but I know what you mean. I know couples that choose not to spank and their kids are heathens! As you said, spanking, when done with love and care for the child will allow them to grow into responsible adults.

As President Clinton said in one of his speeches, "There is no magic wand the government or organizations can wave to bring about lasting racial conciliation...it will require us to close the book on our past, and turn a new page in history...this is primarily, now, a journey of the heart." I agree with his statement. The work comes from within when considered diversity and race relations.

Many English teachers (High School) allow students to submit "creative writing" as a fun type project to get kids excited about writing. (Remember the ole "Tell me what you did this Summer" essay?) Although this looks like something from Hanan's diary, it's still creative, expresses her opinion well and gives examples.
