This essay is thorough and detailed, but its thesis is very weak and the essay largely summarizes the poem. It provides no insight into the deeper meanings, in fact one could easily argue against the thesis. It is incorrect, the poem actually emphasizes the unsuccessful nature of the pastoral life, which Wordsworth praises in his infamous "Prelude." The poem is a great contradiction. The author of this essay makes no mention of this. She also fails to discuss the biblical allusion to the Abraham and Isaac story. A very basic essay, not sufficient for university level. It's hard to believe this could receive an A-, just not possible and any real college.
