Good job using so many references, but where are the in-text references? Is in-text referencing not required at your school? Strong ending, but normally quotes are not allowed in the conclusion. Great job for HS level.

Try using Microsoft Word to fix up grammatical and spelling errors. In Word 2007 go to the Office button at the top left corner, click 'word options', click 'proofing', and change the writing style to 'grammar and style'. This will help with your style, like avoiding the use contractions "isn't".

  • Good but many flaws

No in-text references. No Bibliography. Submitting work to a university without the mention of sources is an act of plagiarism. The conclusion should summarize the entire essay by answering the original question, "what is functionalism". This essay failed to do that. Functionalism examines much more than crime. Either change the title or change the conclusion.

I would have, however, liked to see more referencing. Strong points are substantiated by citing the author. But in a debate ample referencing is not expected.
