  • Decent, if brief, biography of Martin Luther

Basic biographical information on Martin Luther and his defining act of investigating and exposing the problems he found with Christianity of his time and place.Nothing earth-shattering here, but pretty good overview on the man and his beliefs.Cites six sources in no specific academic style.

  • Pretty decent overview of Jesus in the Gospels

Brief but informative, and pretty accurate description of how the Gospel writers differ in their portrayals of Jesus. Good starting point for a longer treatise on the topic.

  • Pretty well-reasoned and *verbose*

True to the title, this work addresses the entire book of Genesis, verse by verse. I've studied a lot of Old and New Testament theology and doctrine, and I find this to be a pretty well-written treatise on the subject. Each verse is labeled appropriately, but not quoted. Have your Bible ready when reading through this.Excellent stuff.

  • Not a bad intro to agriculture

Pretty good overall. Well researched with LOTS of sources cited (in several different styles, or ... no specific style more likely).Good basis for information on the emergence of agriculture.

  • Pretty decent "autobiography"

Please be advised this was not actually written by *the* Emile Durkheim. The essay is written in first-person, informal, storytelling style, and cites sources written nearly a century after Durkheim's death.Obviously not intended to be a *real* autobiography, but worth pointing out to anyone who may feel the desire to copy and paste.

  • Ah, you gotta love biblical misogyny

Pretty thorough treatment of women's roles in the Christian church (funny how it often reads as a manual for misogyny, yes?).Well-written and detailed. Covers a number of scriptural references regarding women's issues.

  • Comprehensive coverage of john chapter 3

Despite the possible typo in the opening line (surely such an expose on a New Testament book is out of place in a History of the Old Testament course), this is a very thorough treatment of John chapter 3.This paper was written to a very specific assignment format and is penned from the format of a Christian believer.

  • Great read

Very well-written commentary on the idea of Christian morals and ethics when compared with several other societies that pre-date Christianity by millennia. The ending detracts from the quality of the rest of the paper, but only because it gets a little preachy.

  • A retelling of the story of Jonah and the big fish

This brief and detailed account of the Biblical story of Jonah being swallowed by a big fish doesn't have a whole lot of substance to it. It is basically a complete retelling of the story, with some closing thoughts in the final paragraph.A decent read if you want to read the story of Jonah *outside* of the Bible, but there's not much else of substance here. Also, not sure why LORD is capitalized throughout, while God is written in standard proper case, but ... that's not really the meat of the message.

  • Well-written comparison

This paper is a first-person expose on the differences between Catholic and Baptist beliefs and practices. The paper is well-written, but the first-person presentation and the overtly theistic message mark it for a pretty specific audience.

  • Recap of course in Christian tradition

This paper is basically an eight-page recap of an undergraduate course in Christian traditions. The author cites various bits and pieces of what he learned in the course, and follows up with what new information he was able to glean from the course. Two references are given in APA format.

  • Cliff-notes of the screwtape letters

Pretty well-written summation of Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. The author was very impressed by the content of the book, and does a pretty good job of articulating just why that is.Paper relies heavily on quotations from the book as well as a number of Biblical references.

Good, but short, treatment of the superfluity of material wealth. The third paragraph is very solid and is great advice to anyone, Christian or otherwise.

  • Some enlightening xmas info

If you've ever wanted a quick once-over of pretty much every piece of the Christmas tradition, this is a good paper to read. From the pagan beginnings to the origin of Santa Claus, the tree, the gifts, the candy, etc., this one has it all.Pretty good read.

  • Good, sarcastic look at Christian "superiority"

Pretty good sardonic treatment of the Christian right's supposed monopoly on good family values. The author appears to be a tremendous fan of Pat Robertson (kidding).Well-written and entertaining to read.

  • Pretty solid focus on the possibility of just war

Due to awkward line-breaks, this paper is awkward to read on the site--if you download it it's much easier to skim through. The paper's pretty decent and parallels the Bible's justifications for war as compared with the case for a just war in Iraq. The author concludes despite a number of possible just causes, the fundamental failure of justification lies in the fact it was a preemptive strike.Cites several sources in AMA or APA style (I can never tell).

  • Decent for the grade level

Assuming this was actually written by a 7th grader, it's pretty decent. It's posited from the position of a Christian believer, and makes generous use of Biblical quotes to back up the claim of paramount importance of Jesus' resurrection.

  • Very theistic; decent for a divine studies course

The beginning is a bit stilted, but I've never liked bringing dictionary definitions into a paper. The author here is obviously a believer in the Christian Bible, and proclaims the merits of literary criticism over historical criticism. While I certainly don't agree on the account historical criticism is the least reliable method of verifying divine inspiration in the Bible's words, if you're preaching to the converted, this is a pretty decent paper.

  • Informative and very detailed

Once you get beyond the detailed history of the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, what comes through is a pretty solid case study on marketing tactics, techniques and procedures.Given the length and detail of this paper, citing only four sources (APA style) seems a big sparse.

  • Artificially lengthy, but substantive

This text comes in at over 40 pages due mostly to its extensive use of one-liners in somewhat of an outline style.Few clear citations, no defined style, and occasional first-person expression.Shortcomings aside, very substantive overview of the democratizing process in several nations around the world.
