Agricultural chemistry is the study of both chemistry and biochemistry these are very important in agricultural production it is the processing of raw products into foods and beverages. These studies highlight the relationships between plants, animals and bacteria and the environment that they live and grow in. The science of chemical structures and how they are changed in the production, safety, and use of crops and livestock.

It is not only test-tube chemistry, it is also all the life courses through which humans take food and fiber for themselves and feed for their animals. As an everyday science or technology, it is focused towards taking control of those processes to increase profits, improve quality, and reduce costs. One important branch of it is chemurgical, is concerned mainly with the operations of agricultural products as natural raw materials.

The goals of agricultural chemistry are to increase understanding of the causes and effects of biochemical reactions associated to plant and animal growth also to reveal opportunities to control those reactions and to improve chemical products that will provide the chosen control.

Every scientific restraint that donates to agricultural progress depends on chemistry.

Chemical supplies developed to help out in the production of food and fiber include marks of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and other pesticides, plant growth regulators, fertilizers, and animal feed supplements. With these are manufactured fertilizers, artificial pesticides with herbicides, and supplements for feeds. It also includes both nutritional supplements such as, mineral nutrients and medicinal compounds for the prevention or control of disease.

Agricultural chemistry tries to target preserving or increasing the richness of soil, maintaining or improving the agricultural yield, and improving the quality of the crop.
