Euthanasia and assisted suicide are two controversial issues. People are against both of the subjects, euthanasia in particular. There are many reasons that doctors should stop performing Euthanasia. One major reason is that it is morally wrong. Another reason is that the patient could get better. The last of the three major reasons is that the doctor performing might not get taken seriously.
The first reason to talk about is that it is morally wrong. The patient that Euthanasia is being performed on could have an undetected mental problem. Also, if the doctor is a mad man he could conduct unwanted experiments. The third reason is that it Euthanasia is considered murder and deep down inside the doctor knows he is killing someone. This way of suicide is against many to all the religions practiced. After the process is done with the doctor might have doubts about whether he or she should have killed the person too.
A second reason that that Euthanasia is bad is that the patient could get better. Miracles seem to happen every day. The family could decide too late that they wanted their beloved one to stay alive. The doctor performing Euthanasia usually has a process that the patient has to go through before it can be done, this determines whether the patient should be having "the operation" performed, but what if the doctor makes a bad judgement call. Then Euthanasia goes "down-the-drain." After the doctor injects the needle there is not turning back, so once it's done it's done.
One of the most important reasons is that the doctor performing Euthanasia might not get taken seriously anymore. The doctor could go to jail for performing it and then lose his dignity. The doctor could also lose his doctor's license and won't be able...
