Orientation Leadership Project
1. Why are you interested in becoming an orientation/cohort leadership project leader?
I am interested in becoming an orientation leader to ensure that all the incoming students get to enjoy all that NYU has to offer. I didn't have a proper orientation when I first came to NYU so had to learn the ropes myself. My goal is to make sure that all the incoming students hit the road running and can enjoy all of NYU and how to maximize their experience here.
2. How would you define the responsibilities and characteristics of an orientation/cohort leadership project leader?
I believe an orientation leader needs to be someone who can take charge of a group of students and handle all their questions and concerns. An orientation leader needs to be able to take on a lot of pressure and duties and perform them accordingly. Also an orientation leader needs to be a good communicator, ensuring that he/she is really approachable and friendly.
3. What qualities or experiences do you have that will help you succeed as an orientation/cohort leadership project leader?
I feel that I am a good communicator that actively listens and responds with a simple and to the point response. I don't feel shy or uneasy speaking in front of groups. I have a go-getter personality in that if I don't know the answer to your question or can't help you with something I will find out the answer or find someone who will be able to help you better.
4. What previous experience do you possess that makes you a good orientation/cohort leadership project leader applicant?
