The Origin of life has been a controversial issue for a very long time now. The big bang theory, then followed by evolution are the most accepted scientific views; they are in fact taught as valid theories in all public schools, therefore making them theories that the government strongly uphold and promote. These same theories have had serious doubt shed upon them by literature and media such as Evolution of a Creationist, Prepare to Answer, The Genesis Flood, Evolution Cruncher, and the Flew-Warren Debate, just to name a few.
Primarily, the Big Bang defies the second law of thermodynamics.
The Big Bang theory has been accepted by a majority of scientists today. It theorizes that a large quantity of nothing decided to pack tightly together,--and then explode outward into hydrogen and helium. This gas is said to have flowed outward through frictionless space ("frictionless," so the outflowing gas cannot stop or slow down) to eventually form stars, galaxies, planets, and moons.

As explained by Shelly in his book Prepare to Answer, in nature all things gain entropy, that is they move from order to disorder. It goes against the regular flow of nature. Atoms do not just spontaneously organize themselves into being. There fore either a long standing law of science is incorrect or the big bang theory was erroneous to begin with.
