Best Snacks sales are on a steady decline, they are looking to change so they can continue to compete and prosper in the snack food industry. Elizabeth Fairchild is looking to help the company to become more innovative in developing new products, to expand their consumer base and markets, while increasing profits. In order for communications to improve between the executive team and employees, Best Snacks has implemented a plan to include all executive team members in strategy planning and decision-making processes and get the information out to the employees right away.

According to McShane and Von Glinow (2004, p. 324), "Effective communication is vital to all organizations because it coordinates employees, fulfills employee needs, supports knowledge management, and improves decision making."

Stakeholder Perspectives/Ethical Dilemmas
