In today's world of high technology and the opportunity to access information across the globe many organizations are looking toward the internet to conduct their business transactions. With this said whether dealing with Business-to-Business (B2B) or Business-to-Customer (B2C) customers, supply chain management involves manufacturing, storage, distribution and delivery of products and services to consumers and other businesses. B2B supply chain management can involve more steps because B2B wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers are typically working with larger corporate entities and B2C mainly working with the consumer. The result is still the same for supply chain management when dealing with both B2B or in a B2C environment; the focus must always be on the customer and providing them with the utmost in quality services. But how will a supply chain website compare to B2B versus a B2C?DefinitionSupply chain management can be defined as the management of materials and information both in and between facilities, such as vendors, manufacturing and assembly plants.

Supply chain management is the combination of art and science that goes into improving the ways in which company finds raw materials it needs to make a product or service, manufactures that product or service and delivers it to the customer (Londe, 2004). The ability to reach a larger customer audience and other businesses, allows an organization to remain competitive and save costs. With the introduction of e-commerce, which is the buying and selling of products and services via the internet, e-business has broken off into two different categories business-to-business and business to consumers. This paper will explain how the supply chain differs on a business to consumer site and a business-to-business site (, 2008).
