The Test of Tests
Imagine you are a millionaire with three (3) kids. A son ten (10) whose dream is to follow your footsteps. Twin daughters who are thirteen (13) and prettier than a golden sunset, a beautiful wife, a huge fabulous 4000 square foot home, you're driving a brand new gold Roll Royce. Everything in your life is fine. You have built a solid foundation on God and everything He stands for. One night before going to bed, you kiss your children and wife good night. The next day you wake up to the sound of your telephone ringing. It is your banker. He is calling to let you know that you are dead broke and you are about to lose your home, your car and everything you worked so hard for. As the day goes on, you are thinking, why me what have I done to deserve this God. I have been true to you why me? Suddenly you hear you wife screaming you run to her and see your kids are lying on their beds dead. What do you do? Do you lose it and curse God, or do move on with your life knowing that God has a plan?
The Book of Job is a great lesson, which we are confronted with right from the very beginning. God presence in the life of a man, even though he is going through very severe trials. The trial itself proves the existence of God and His presence with Job. Job was unaware that he was the subject of a test between God and Satan, and he experienced a tremendous series of calamities that wiped out all that he had of value.
