Ultimate Capacity of Timber Joints.
Aim:
To determine the ultimate capacity of nailed and bolted connections and the modes at which they fail. The experimental results will be compared to the estimates predicted using AS 1720 - 1998.
Equipment:
Timber member (with nails or bolts connection)
Scale
Ruler
Loading frame
3 Dial gauge
Electronic readout
Load cell
