The novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is a very well known story in American literature. Some people like to say that this is a story about friendships and relationships. The main character in the story is a handsome young man by the name of Jay Gatsby. Through out Gatsby's entire life he has practically been in love with a young women by the name of Daisy, but they were unable to be married. Gatsby is a very popular man who is always throwing parties with lots of people and with lots of action. Although Gatsby has a lot of big parties with a lot of people Daisy, the one person that he would love to have there, does not attend very often. Daisy also plays a big role in The Great Gatsby and has three very different relationships with three other main characters, Nick Carraway, Tom Buchanan, and the main character Jay Gatsby.

Toward the end of the story Daisy kind of uses Nick as a middleman to Gatsby. Daisy uses Nick to get closer to Gatsby or to get to know Gatsby better. A good friend always tries to help one another out and that is just what Daisy tries to do to Nick. She tries to set Nick up with Jordan Baker. Jordan Baker is a great golfer and plays in many tournaments. Nick says, "I am one of the few honest people that I have ever known"ÃÂ(The Great Gatsby, Fitzgerald, 64). With this in mind Jordan and Nick would not be a good match because Jordan is not a very honest person at all. The last part of Nick and Daisy's relationship is strange...
