A mixed bag
Giving the title as 'Judith Butler b. 1956' is rather misleading and selling the essay short too. There is a lot of useful information in here. Thanks especially for the Mary Douglas section (and reference). I'll add to the other comments about adding a bibliography (a missing bibliography always takes an essay down a notch for me)

Title: Social and Cultural anthropology: What defines and justifies the study of the discipline.
This is an interesting and useful essay as a general introduction to Anthropology.I'm a little mystified by the word count - it's said to be 3786 words but when downloaded into Word the word count (including bibliography) is only 1728 - a huge discrepancy. Is there an explanation for this or is some of the essay missing?
