According to the magazines, who is the sexiest man alive this year? Who else but Hugh Jackman. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, today I am here to talk about an Australia superstar-Hugh Jackman. His high-quality performance and his earnest attitude to each acting role makes him a successful Australian actor.

Let's start with Hugh Jackman's personal life. Born to English parents in Sydney on October 12, 1968, Hugh Jackman was raised as the youngest of five children. After earning a communications degree in Journalism from Sydney's University of Technology, the fledgling actor got his first big break, when he was offered a starring role on the popular TV series Corelli. He met his wife, actress Deborrah-Lee Furness, while on set.

Hugh Jackman starred in a number of other TV series -- and also began to earn recognition for his work on the stage in such productions as Beauty and the Beast, Sunset Boulevard, and Trevor Nunn's acclaimed Royal National Theatre production of Oklahoma! The latter of which featured the actor in an Olivier-nominated performance as Curly McLain.

In 1999, a year after being nominated for the Olivier, Hugh Jackman was again honored, this time with a Best Actor nomination from the Australian Film Institute for his representation of a man estranged from his brother in the urban drama "Erskineville Kings". Thanks to Hugh Jackman's work on television and in musical theatre, he became well renowned to American audiences through his role as Logan in Bryan Singer's adaptation of the popular comic X-Men.

After the success of X-men 1, he took on the role of Logan once more in the sequel X-men 2: X-Men United in 2003. In addition, Jackman was asked to host the Tony Awards in 2003, 2004, and 2005 after his outstanding performance by the good acting in the stage musical "The Boy from Oz." He took a humorous turn in the summer of 2006 and acted as a serial killer in Woody Allen's comedy Scoop, and in autumn he starred opposite Oscar winner Rachel Weisz in the stylish movie "The Fountain" as a man who searches through three different time periods concurrently, on a single spiritual journey. That same autumn, Jackman could also appeared in "The Prestige", playing a turn of the century magician who performs real magic by heart. Before winter, audiences were hearing his vocal work in a pair of animated films, "Flushed Away" and "Happy Feet". After that, he took on the lead role of Drove in the movie "Australia" with Nicole Kidman in 2008.

Let's move on to his achievements, Jackman is a longtime proponent of microcredit, microcredit is a kind of small loan for the people in poverty. He was awarded the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize as a result of his a microcredit pioneering. Jackman was chosen as People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive this year. Jackman had his hand and footprint ceremony in the Hollywood Walk of Fame - at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on April 21, 2009. Jackman is an advisor of the Global Poverty Project for which he narrated a documentary. He also narrated the documentary "The Burning Season" about the global warming disaster.

Jackman is not only a successful actor in Australia, but also he usually donates the money for charity as well. On April 14, 2009 Jackman would donate $100,000 to one individual's favorite non profit organization. On April 21, 2009 he revealed his decision to donate $50,000 to Charity Water and $50,000 to the Operation Of Hope.

All in all, Jackman was applauded by many people and fans because of his superior acting, attractive face and his performance. Known by his famous role Logan in X-men series, the world audiences started to pay attention to him and like him, his strong body, his acting talent, family loving and humor tone made him famous in the world.
