Science verses religion - The Creation Dilemma
Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to. - George Seaton
Science verses Religion. It has always been this way since the beginning of
time, literally. It is very difficult to choose one over the other because one
is based on fact and logic while the other is built on faith and hope. That's
exactly what the Creation theory is, beliefs in a superior supernatural being
whereas the Big Bang theory is faith in logic. It is difficult to judge two
uniquely difficult theories because both do not hold the answers, they are
merely a description of the type of person we are, and what morals and
priorities we have within. Someone who is atheist for example will believe in
the scientific version; whereas someone who has had a bad life may hold onto
their hope for a being that will one day make the world better for them, this
creature being God, and hence they will trust the theory of religion.
But as I
said it's not easy to choose between the two.
Normally when approached with a task of choice, we will subject ourselves to
view every different side to each story to make an intelligible decision based
on the truth. Unfortunately, with this topic we cannot. As a student, it is
solely based on our personal beliefs, but where have these beliefs evolved in
the first place? As we grew with each stage in our lives, we had been
influenced by an outside force. Whether it be our parents, the media, our
school systems-our ideas are truly not our own. How can one make an unbiased
opinion with all these factors to consider? It is impossible.

Not much.
Very few good points in this waffling essay. The author has obviously had little experience in formulating arguments. The essay lacks structure and fails to make a strong case. Appears to be full of opinions of a concrete thinker.
