Net neutrality simply stated, the principle that the Internet service providers (ISP's) and governments should treat all data on the internet equally, not charging or being discriminate by user, content, site, platform, applications, or even the type of equipment even forms of communication to the internet. In this paper the topic of net neutrality will be discussed along with how it affects society, how it has both positive and negative effects to the end user and its effects on industry. Net neutrality also introduces to the government rules and regulations that have already been put into place by the Federal Communications Commission and the United States Government but more that will be made in the future concerning the availability of data to users and how it should be distributed by ISP's in a young technological advance. Some discussions will be made to how net neutrality is supported and opposed within society, which companies uphold the laws and regulations and also companies that have violated these rules and regulations.

As a result of this, new issues and problems are introduced within 2014 along with the past precedence and rules that prevent the FCC and ISP's from proceeding further into either the support or the opposition of net neutrality from society, private companies and Telecommunications corporations.

Net Neutrality is the deregulation of data on the internet, for customers to have access to all data no matter the type, that internet service providers should not discriminate to customers preferences and choice in what types of devices or even the applications that are on their devices, or even the companies that customers choose to support for their internet services.
