Does God Exist?

There are many different theories about God around the world, whether or not he exists, in what form he exists and what he expects of people on Earth. His existence has long been debated, and many celebrities such as Stephen Hawking and philosophers have all expressed their views on this topic. I believe that God exists, but not in the forms that many people on Earth believe.

Many people argue that God does not exist. God was invented in early days because people had no other explanations for the things that were happening around them. They also believed that the world was flat, and this was later disproved by science, just like the beginning of the earth, and the different causes of the weather. Other people argue that if God is the sole controller, all seeing, all powerful, all good, then why does evil exist? Why does he reject people from Heaven and send them to Hell? And also, if he is the sole controller, why do we have doubts that he exists, and why doesn't he just ingrain it in our minds that he is real? Stephen Hawking argues that, in the scheme of time, causes must happen before their effects.

This follows the basis of the cosmological argument. There is no time prior to the origin of the universe and therefore the universe cannot have a cause. Theism indicates that God is the cause of the universe, yet one can't get to a time before the big bang, because there was no time before the big bang, and therefore they are false.
