The star of these is none other than the Green Hornet and Kato. The Green Hornet, known to the public as Britt Reid, but known to two people as the Green Hornet.
Forty-seven comics were issued in the 1940s about the crime fighting hero and his sidekick Kato. A radio drama about the duo started in the late thirties and continued into the early fifties which opened with the sound of buzzing hornets.

The Green Hornet (2006 film)In 1966 an attempt was made to bring the heroes to television. From 1966 to 1967 Green Hornet fans would crowd around their television sets at seven thirty every Friday night to watch the crime fighters in action. Reportedly, the series only ran for a year because special effects and production cost the show too much. The Green Hornet will appear once again in the year 2005. A movie script is in its final stages of writing for the Green Hornet. Not much information is known about the movie yet, but Jake Gyllenhaal will play the role of the Green Hornet if the movie occurs.
