The author has attempted to give both sides of the arguement here. The problem is that it is not written in an impartial way. On reading the first part of the essay, I was convinced that the author suppoted the use of animals in experimentation for even the smallest gains to humans. The second part of the essay completely turns the tables. It is possible to present both arguements in a more impartial fashion and let the reader make up their own mind.

This very short essay gives a brief definition of the nature/nurture debate. There are many interesting arguements on both sides that could have been introduced here. While it is now generally accepted that both play a role, it is still debated to what degree specific abilities are innate or learned. the inclusion of some of these arguements would have provided the reader with a more in depth understanding of the debate.

Not sure if this is supposed to be an essay or a report. If a report, then abstract is missing. Also procedure should describe a particiant's experience not what 'you' should do. All sections are too brief.

This essay gives basic information about different types of memory. The format is rather strange and the material could be better organised. Also, there is no mention of memory models (eg.Baddeley). Could have mentioned phonological loop, visual spatial sketchpad and central executive in STM.

These are some valid criticisms of Piaget's stage theory, but not enough for a balanced essay.

The first part of the essay gives a good overview of the theory behind the acquisition of gender identity. The second part of the esay gives examples of how stereotypes are applied, specifically in the area of nursing. This is an interesting essay. Good.

A nice essay, if a little short. Could have included much more detail but does get the point over. Generally good.

Very basic explanation of fear. There are many theories and models of fear such as classical conditioning and, as the author mentions, evolutionary reasons. More detail and mention of theory needed here.

I found this to be a very good essay. I hesitate to say excellent due to the bias shown in the ending. I find it strange in such an essay that the author should portray Christians as superior. That is as wide sweeping a judgement as racial prejudice.

The author is correct in that each of these theories has been influential. However, it may be a little misleading to say that they have stood up to criticism. There are many valid criticisms and much empirical evidence that casts doubt on these theories. A little more criticism here would have produced a more rounded essay. A good account of all three theories though.

I liked this essay. It contained some very interesting points of view, but some proof reading might have been a good idea. Overall, though, a good essay.

This is quite a nice summary of non verbal behaviour but the addition of some empirical evidence in this area of research would inform the reader of particular studies that have tested these assumptions (eg. Ekman, Mehrabian)
