I see this more as a poem than an essay and in that respect, as there are freer guidelines I think your essay is very successful. The 'fair right' policies are being increasingly 'unfair' and it's the little people that are being made to suffer and you have captured this well in your writing. I really enjoyed your piece and hope others will also see it as a piece of your brain rather than a formal essay.

I gave this essay a green because I think it was well structured and you have put a lot of effort into it.In response to 'Moses the raven who seemed to have no particular reason to be in the book.'Moses symbolises Religion and Philosophy (the name comes from Moses in the Bible of coursel) and the fact that he leads some animals to believe in Sugarcandy Mountain and the relevance of this is that the Pigs are against anything of this nature (just like in the SU).

I gave you a green face for the effort and I think you have written an excellent essay, but I don't agree that the message of the story has anything to do with 'too much power can bring out the worst in us' at all. In fact Orwell is simply trying to compare the Russian Revolution to pigs and describe how communism works ultimately.

I do like the way you wrote this essay but some of the points are a little loose and not backed up terribly well. I personally don't believe Oasis are trying to copy the Beatles, but clearly they (as many other bands are) have taken lots of influence and ideas from the Beatles, which is allowed.Oasis did dominate the charts in the 90s, Morning Glory was the biggest selling album of all time in Britain, and if they are the modern version of the Beatles, then so be it, whats wrong with that, it makes them sell well and the Beatles sell well too.

I didn't like the style you wrote in, and it was far too short and not detailed enough.I agree that war was inevitable, and that it would've been difficult to avoid, but your points aren't justified and the detail is hugely lacking. You did't mention Russia and Serbia's pact which is basically the reason it was a world war and that is a crucial detail.Talking about a world war in 300 words is impossible and I don't think you've been even near successful in your attempt.

  • A Little Short

Not a bad try, but I think some of the details are slightly wrong, for example, in Lord Of The Flies Jack never sees the dead parachutist, he believes that the beast did exist and as they killed Simon that part of them became killed. Its ok for a 10th Grade essay, but I think 500 words is just not enough however good the writing is, and there are a few grammar errors too.You did use the format of Point Example Explination but neither Point nor Explination were detailed enough, and although you made your point, it is still a little blurry and you could've made it deeper and more detailed.
