Emily Dickinson was born on December 10, 1830, in Massachusetts. Her father , Edward, work as a lawyer and as the treasure of Adheres college. Her mother , Emily was a very quite women. Emily mother was emotionally distaste and kept to her self. Emily had an older brother, Austin and a younger sister, Lavinia. The Dickinson's got along pretty well unit Austin married Susan Gilbert, a younger friend girl who was Emily best friend. Emily went to Amherst College for a year and then came home because she was home sick. She was only seventeen at the time. Slowly Emily is with drawing from society. She did not go out and socialize or see many people. Emily seldom left her home and riley had visitors. She did not have good luck with men. Her first love affair ended because he was too poor and he died. Then she gall in love with a married reverent.

After he move she became very depressed. Emily had nervous breakdown because she lost two men she loved. Many of her poems reelects her depressions and here feelings during breakdown.

One of her poems is " My Life Closed Twice Before it's Close" My life closed twice before its close- It yet remains to see If Immortality unveil A third event to me So huge, so hopeless to conceive As these that twice befell.

Parting is all we know of heaven.

And all we need of hell.

The first line means that her life has been closed or has been ended. The verb " closed" could mean two things. One meaning might be that her life is finished. Another meaning of the line could be that she is shut in. Emily could not be with the man she loved. She was so heartbroken. As...
