Social Darwinism is a belief that is plain and simple. It states that the strongest or fittest should survive and flourish in society, while the weak and unfit should be allowed to die. Social Darwinism was used a lot in the late Victorian era in England, America, and elsewhere. Social Darwinism was used to justify racism and violence. Social Darwinism was used all over to have a reason to say your better and is still used in our world today.

Social Darwinism was a great reason to have racism violence and wars. General Friedrich von Bernhardi said, "War is a biological necessity of the first importance...since without it an unhealthy development will follow, which excludes every advancement of the race, and therefore all real civilization. War is the father of all things." He is using social Darwinism, he is saying that without war the ones who work hard will not benefit and will not advance.

Social Darwinism does justify racism and violence to some extent. If I am an Aryan and I believe that I am superior to Jews then I can start a war between us so that I the Aryan will advance.

Anti-Semitism means hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious group. Anti-Semitism is just a form of social Darwinism. In Germany made Jews live in certain parts of the country and organized pogroms or organized massacres. Germany did this so they would stay superior.

Even though social Darwinism justifies racism, violence, and anti-Semitism does it mean its right? In the world today social Darwinism still exists. The extent of it is a lot different than before. Some people view their race better than others and believe that the other races should die. But today it will not justify racism and so on. Social Darwinism has...
