Style is a key element on good writing
Nowadays, many people think as a fundamental American ideal that we can make ourselves into just about anything with the right amount of hard work and willpower. We are able to go into a good college if we have put so much effort to study or if we practiced a lot and have enough will power we can finish a marathon. However, Stephen King, a famous writer said 'I don't believe writers can be made, either by circumstances or by self-will' (On writing 17). It means hard work is important but developing an unique and identical style is also a key element to be a good writer. In the next few paragraphs, I will discuss about why style is important for a writer.

Just like a good artist who has quality paint and nice pens still can't draw a great picture without putting his own idea. I think hard work and willpower are just a kind of ingredients or tools to help us to develop our style. In order to be a good writer and make the readers feel interested in reading our work, we must develop our style like how Stephen King did.
