Abstract

Over the years, healthcare industry has undergone many changes that turned out to be beneficial for the society as a whole. The modern day transformations have eased out the hectic schedule of the doctors to a certain extent. At the same time, patients get the best solutions to their health related problems.

Task 1: An analysis of the global sustainability agenda and how it translates into national practice.

According to a survey, the ratio of older citizens in UK is considerably rising at regular extent. The government of UK believes that the amount of older citizens in maybe twice in the next hundred years as compared to present scenario. When it comes to looking after their health, only one name comes into mind and that of NHS.

According to another survey, more or less of the patients suffering from immobility or required a support for the purpose of moving amounted to 72%. On the other hand, 62% were either forgetful or were too confused. Almost 24% of the patients were incontinent confused or immobile.

Older people with complex needs depend upon medication, food and personal care. The dedication of the doctors and other medical personnel can bring about the change in the lives of older people. Today, many institutions including focus their attention to provide quality services for such citizens. Older citizens lack the control unlike the younger counterparts and thus need attention almost at every instant. It is the same group of people that mostly suffer neglecting and victimisation in care homes and hospitals.
