MEXICO CITY Mexico City is a very modern city. It is where the old traditions meet new modern ones. Mexico City is the capital of Mexico. It is also the largest city in Mexico. Some people say it is the largest city in the world. Around one fifth of the countries population lives in Mexico City. Many Aztec temples are still standing in Mexico City. Many stand right next to modern buildings. Mexico City has many slums right next to luxurious suburbs. Mexico City is built right over the old Aztec City of Tenochtitlan. Tenochtitlan was the capital of the Aztecs.

The main building for the Mexican government is built on a demolished site of the temple for the war god. On Avenida Juarez is one of the tallest buildings in Mexico City. It is forty-four stories tall and is one of the tallest buildings in Latin American as well as Mexico City.

A beautiful looking park was built right over the old Aztecs old market place. The University of Mexico (UM) is a very nice looking college. There are many other colleges in Mexico City like Centro Universitario Mexico CUM, Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México ,SM Campus Ciudad de Mexico ,Universidad Intercontinental, Universidad Justo Sierra ,and Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. It is thirty miles from Mexico. The official language is Spanish. Ninety percent of Mexican in Mexico City is catholic. The currency is peso.

There is eight million two hundred and thirty eight thousand and nine hundred and sixty (8,236,960) the climate in Mexico City is very dry and humid.

20 newspapers come out of Mexico City, which accounts for fifty percent of the 10.36 million. They communicate with the telegraph and the telephone.
