...but a few notes. If you use the acronym "U.S." you need a period after the S. When you use U.S. as a subject, you need to precede it by "the". This essay has a constant tense shift (try to keep the essay in the present tense), and the almost nonexistant thesis and inconsistant citations are another bad point. Also, the informal language isn't proper for a paper. Cut down on the contractions as well. You did include a bibliography, which is a plus.

I wrote an essay on this subject when I was Freshman when Osama Bin Ladin first made his mark. I liked how pointed out that there is no direct link between terrorism and Iraq. I liked how you quoted the amount spent $200Billion. But you should've referenced the past when the United States did go to war without UN Approval. You should've also not stressed the oil factor which is key, because it's been a sticking point since the 70's and alot of people forget that. The reason USA goes to war is to introduce democracy and capitalism everywhere, which if you agree is the fairest economic system around. OPEC is a cartel having an elastic demand curve making them enemy number 1 for US producers who can't control the supply the way they need to from these countries. The OPEC countries which include most of the arab countries do not play by the same rules as the rest of the world, which is why the USA needed to go to war with IRAQ. It was not a statement war in the sense of terrorism but a statement war that the rest of the arab countries will soon be assimilated.

Not particulary formal but I'm glad that you used some factual information. All of the arguments against the war were there but I think to really get my 'excellent' rating you would have to displays all the possible pro-war arguments and shoot them down to the ground. That would be a good read. Good use of bibliography though.

Overall, fairly well argued. However, not persuasive enough- I am still pro-war. Never mind! Average.

Perhaps you should have used language that was a bit more formal - perhaps also mention the fact the "Americanization" of other countries isn't always wanted or appreciated - nobody wants a monoculture.

I enjoyed reading this essay. It cleared up a lot of confusion that I had. The research was very extensive. Great paper!!
